Best Twin Stroller For Newborns
If you're expecting twins or have two children who are similar in age the double stroller is a must. The top double strollers offer multiple ways to ride for your children with side-by-side seating and a board attachment.
Strategist writer Lauren Ro's favorite is the Bugaboo Donkey 5 Mono, which is easily adapted as your family grows. It can accommodate two infant car seats and a toddler car seat which makes it a great option for twins starting at birth.
Bugaboo Donkey
This is the top double stroller for families searching for a stylish, side-by-side double stroller. It's a larger than the other Bugaboo models, but it feels sturdy and built to last. It has a movable handlebar that extends and retracts easily. It has a good reach so that my husband, who is 6'1" can easily push it, even when he is fully loaded.
The seats are comfortable and can be positioned to place one child on top of the other, or to have the children face each the other. The seats can recline independently of each other. The canopies cover both seat fabrics, if desired. They don't have much ventilation, so they can be like an oven on hot days. There's no peek-a-boo window to look at your children.
This stroller comes with a unique feature that allows it to grow with you and your family. It can go from one seat (Mono Mode) to the double side by side stroller. It is the only stroller that can be converted that can do this! It can even be used with an additional bassinet or car seat for newborns.
It is easy to use on smooth surfaces, and it handles stairs and slopes with ease. The only drawback is that it can be difficult to navigate busy restaurants and shops. It is also difficult to fold, particularly when seats are tucked away. It is still fairly compact, and is able to fit through most doors easily.
There is a storage bin that is attached to the frame, next to the front seat in mono mode. This is ideal for groceries and other items. The main storage basket underneath the seats is massive and can accommodate up to 100 pounds that is more than any other stroller on this list!
Uppababy Vista V2
This is one of the best twin strollers designed for new newborns. It can be used straight from the box as a double stroller, and is compatible with numerous infant car seats and bassets. The Vista Upper and Vista Lower adapters let you use two infant car seats simultaneously.
The V2 is a more refined version of the original Vista. The toddler seat is now raised by half an inch, the footrest has been made bigger and the canopy comes with an additional fabric extension that zips out. The harness has also been upgraded and no longer needs to be changed out, making it simple to adjust.
The stroller comes with big wheels (8" in front and 11.5" in back) and a strong suspension system that allows it to take on any terrain. The rubber wheels on the front are great for navigating gravel and rocks, while the tread on the rear wheels is better for sidewalks and grassy hills.

Another excellent feature is the ability to attach a child's bike to the front of the stroller, making it an excellent option for those who aren't keen on using an infant car seat or Rumbleseat. And if you have an older child who is ready to stand, the Vista can even fit the third child using its piggyback ride along board.
The Vista is easy to use and set up, however it takes some time to remove all of the protective packaging. The instructions are easy to follow and there's also an YouTube video if you need more help.

It's incredibly lightweight, making it a breeze to push and swift to accelerate when you're hitting the road. Its suspension can cope with sudden changes in surface (such as pavement to grass) and the large tires are able to withstand any terrain. It can easily climb kerbs and turn in tight spaces, like city streets. Even narrow sidewalks and crowded park are no problem.
The brand new Urban Glide 3 is a superior jogger that gives parents an abundance of comfort and convenience. The huge canopy offers great sun protection, has an easy peekaboo as well as a premium harness system and a handbrake that is precisely adjusted. It also comes with plenty of storage, including in-seat storage pockets as well as a large cargo basket that holds up to 15 pounds and comes with the zip-top cover.
This Thule Jogger also has bassinets, ideal for strolling newborns and a double version to accommodate two children. It has car seat adapters, meaning that you can use the infant carrier of your child. It also has a one-handed folding system to help you transport it or store. It's also a green choice because it uses solution-dyed fabric in its black color options.
Cortina Together
Designed for the growing family, Cortina Together offers parents various seating options that can be adjusted to each child's individual needs and preferences. The two stroller seats of the double stroller come with reclining backrests, and canopies that are separate. They're also designed to take one of Chicco's #1-rated KeyFit or KeyFit 30 infant car seats in the front seat and rear seat (car seat sold separately) using the exclusive click-in attachment, without the need for adding straps and bars, as other models that require.
A large, zip-up basket on the rear offers ample storage for gear. The handle is padded to allow for dad or mom. double buggy from birth and suspension provide a smooth ride over any terrain, and the one-touch linked rear brakes with toe-tap activation makes stopping easy.
In our Strollers & Multiples laboratory tests, Cortina Together received high marks for ease of usage. This metric is based on how easy it is to fold and set up the stroller, adjust the safety harness as well as the snack tray, engage and deengage the brakes, lift and carry the stroller as if placing it in a trunk, and for double strollers that are compatible, install and remove an infant car seat.
We did find some drawbacks to this model, however. First, it's heavy. It weighs 36.6 pounds fully loaded which puts it close to the extreme end of our metric. It also has limited visibility in the back seat when the car seat is in place. Additionally the front tray release is sometimes difficult to operate, especially after long-term use. Despite these issues we still believe that this is a great stroller for your family.
Jeep Double Stroller
The Jeep Destination Ultralight Side x Side Double Stroller is an affordable, lightweight stroller that's perfect for families with two kids. Its front swivel lock wheels rotate to move on flat surfaces, and ensure stability on bumpy surfaces making it easy to travel wherever you want to go. It has a compact folding umbrella that can be closed in seconds. It also stands upright to make transporting it easier. Its aluminum frame is light, foam handles and strap for carrying make it one of the easiest to lift double strollers that we have tested.
This tandem stroller features reclined seats that can be independently adjusted for maximum comfort. The large canopy provides UPF 50 protection and includes a peekaboo view to make it easy for monitoring. We'd like to see the canopy vented to let in more airflow however. We also weren't thrilled that the cup holder is extremely high on the frame, which means you'll need to bend down to access it.
In our test of tipping, the Jeep was able to tip over at 39 degrees of angle which is higher than average for a double stroller. It's heavier than the average and has more storage for the price. The handles and seats are also well-padded.
This versatile stroller has three modes it can be used in: wagon (just for things) as well as jogger (with two 5-point safety harnesses designed for children) and car seat mode. It can fit one car seat for infants, however, pediatricians suggest waiting until your child is 6 months old before jogging with them. They should also be 1 year old before letting them go on rough terrain. It is available in black and comes with a limited warranty. Jenni Gritters has been a journalist and parent for over 10 years.
